Frank Sinatra and Joe Bonanno RIP should have lived long enough to see this place. Being of Swedish and Irish extraction, blonde, blue eyed and so shockingly white as a child I had to insist on having every light turned on while playing 'Hide N Seek' indoors, otherwise I was a 67 lb. 'GlowStick' that lit up half the house. Despite that, for some reason I have always found it curious that I've always loved Italian 'Mob' or 'Mafia' Movies, even though "There's no such thing as the Mafia" (to coin a phrase). Classic "Mafia" movies are centered around NY, NJ or even Vegas as we all know but how many of you young Yelp's know Cuba for real was a hot-spot for Italian-American "Wise Guys" before El Presidente Fulgencio Batista lost power in Cuba and asshat Fidel took over his pad? The "Pearl of the Caribbean" wasn't 'big enough for the both of us' so the Mobsters scooped up their Casino cash and fled the Island almost overnight. Wanna guess where the "connected" landed every winter after that?, you guessed it, right here in South Florida. Miami /Miami Beach were initially where these Goodfellas landed but back in that day for the most part the 'powers that be' in Dade county were white Protestant Florida Crackers (believe it or not) that weren't so crazy about Northerners, foreigners and folks with olive oil skin or darker, so with the exception of that Mashugana Meyer Lansky, the rest of that clique eventually felt the need to head out but still stay in the sunshine. They landed in sleepy little Hallandale because well, it was sleepy little Hallandale and totally under the radar in those days. Despite being mostly a sleepy little 'bedroom community' Hallandale had a somewhat impressive but quaint (quaint in those days) Hotel on the Ocean called 'The Diplomat Hotel' that conveniently featured Mob favorites like Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis Jr for example. I've lived in Hallandale and have had two separate Italian Old Timer neighbors tell me the only two hangouts back then were the Diplomat and Gulfstream Park, especially Gulfstream, the Mob dudes love(d) the Ponies. Sinatra loved the Ponies also, so much so that local lore has it he's the one that insisted they film his movie 'Lady in Cement' at Gulfstream because he "knew his way around the place" LOL UpperDeck Ale and Sports Grill is situated at the Hallandale Beach Blvd entrance of Gulfstream Park and seeing it from the street the first thing that hits you is the massive and easily most posh beautiful Tiki Bar in Broward, if not the three County area. There's no way Frank Sinatra would have not hit this place and hit it hard before pulling into the Track. We've been coming for a few years and have watched the owner's son Harry, who runs everything, completely transform Upperdeck from a decent watering hole with slightly above average food into something pretty impressive. In the past eight months they've totally torn down and doubled the size of the Bar, added probably at least twenty additional large screen HD TV's, added I don't know how many surround sound system speakers in the rafters. This joint has so many TV's they are able to show every game being played live no matter the sport and like I said, the Mob fellas would love this place, they also show live horse Racing at the same time. Get this, they now have a ton of AC/USB outlets all the way around the center bar for charging your phone. These guys are serious, they've poured a ton of money into this place recently. The bar is absolutely gorgeous now but the best improvements us regulars have noticed are the food, the ceiling fans (wait for it LOL) and the specials.. After the remodeling I asked to meet the Boss so I could compliment him, the changes were day and night and blew us away so wanted to thank him, that would be Harry. He thanked us for the compliments then mentioned they were focusing on improving the food and everything would get much better, but I took that with a grain of salt being he runs the place. He wasn't bull-sh*ttn' people, every single time we've come back after that conversation the food has been noticeably better with many more menu items to choose from AND as promised they now constantly change the menu. The last two times we went Stone Crab, Short Rib and a new Margarita recipe were new items, they keep changing up, The Margarita and Short Rib were out of this World, I was surprised at how good they were. Oh yeah the ceiling fans thingy. Even calling them "ceiling fans" may give you the wrong impression, I think they bought them from NASA. They are at least 12' across and on the hottest day it's like 72 deg., it's crazy. Lastly the special's, they have so many daily specials that you have to ask your server, the menu would be like seven pages if they actually listed all of them. Hat's off to these guy's, they ain't fck'n around. P.S. And hat's off to you "Ol' Blue Eyes", we miss you man.

Oh man it's time for somebody to look and see what's going on here with the food service and waiters. It's gone way downhill. The food is no longer fresh, the chili tastes canned with an over abundance of chilies, a wee paper cup of chopped onions and a matching one of imitation mixed cheese food. ($6.00)The French onion soup was also mini and was covered with Provolone from the cheese food factory and the croutons never showed.($6.00) No beef flavor; I think they used a chicken bouillon cube to make the broth. Slow, slow, slow service. Maybe one would get better service at the bar or were smoking a hookah. Their Ahi Tuna salad was not served with the, as advertised, baby greens. They looked as if they came from the way, way, way back of the walk-in and they were partnered with tunaish something; again no flavor.($16.00) Naturally, cocktail napkins were served with dinner despite the fact that I asked for the manager to come to the table. When he finally showed he didn't much care. Well, I don't care either. I'm a cook and am going home to prepare some food that has some taste to it and is not covered with low quality seasonings. I passed by this pub/bistro/sports bar a hundred times without going in. I should have. I am a late nighter and always driving all around northern Dade and southern Broward counties looking for a place that's open after 1:00. I wandered in one night not knowing what to expect and here was a bar with every bar gimmick you can imagine; and they are all well done. TVs, more and larger than you could imagine, pool tables with good cushions, a tikibar with raised table, low table, and bar seating, and a wood burning pizza oven. The tiki bar is almost outdoor and separated from the main restaurant with two doors for quiet. (They serve the full menu here.) The main part of the restaurant is sort of divided into three sections, tables with pool tables nearby, bar with ajasent booths, and main dining room. The whole is surrounded with more tv screens than you can count. It's fun and not really distracting the way they have done this because the owner (whose family had the Redfish/Bluefish Restaurant here) really thought about what the perfect bar/bistro should include. Harry is the son of the owner and the help seem to like him a lot. They have a good thing going between the help and the ownership; it's palpable. Everybody is nice that I have met. They have a pizza deal whereby one buys one on the phone and you get a second one free. It's much more open then their competition Big Daddy which is across the street and I find it quite claustrophobic and noisy beyond belief. The food at Upper Deck is very good, at least what I've had. The pizza is a surprise, the basil chicken sandwich is good. Sadly, tonight my guest had Mahi which was as salty as an anchovy. They have a ton of parking too. Hours are wonderful 2:00 and 4:00 on Fri and Sat nites. Tonight I had their batterdipped chicken wings and I urged my guest to try another fish. This time it was salmon and really well cooked with a nice flavour. The wings were good, but had dreadful sauce (that I had told them the side thank God) and speaking of sauce be careful of their chili; it's quite warm. They should reduce the volume of the awful music in the Tiki Bar; a bar is for chatting and since this bar also serves as a dining room who needs all the clatter. They did and it's much more conducive to conversation, after all, isn't that what pubs were invented for and now with the plotless hookahs it's even more necessary to keep the noise level down. The chef must be told how to cook a flank steak. It's the most expensive thing on the menu so for those who want it rare then get on the ball and learn. It's such an easy thing to do, even on a line. I served a flank steak in my restaurant and if the chef couldn't learn how to satisfy the customer then he was gone. I had to order a dozen oysters on top of my half dozen in order that my companion didn't have to wait for another stab at learning how to cook a simple piece of meat (which had almost no flavor incidentally). I don't really care because I like the other things so much here. Ho hummmm! I think it may be time to forget completely about the food and just come and gossip with the barmen and drink. (That may be the owner's notion as well since he has obviously little or no concern about the restaurant part of the business.) Where is Jerome when you need him?

I am putting down 3 Stars on here because I would give it a 4 and my boyfriend would give it a 2. I am a sucker for French Onion soup and wings, and let's be real, how bad can you go wrong with those two food items. I have gone many times with friends and my mom likes their shrimp. After reading other reviews here re: about how great the place is, the tv's etc, then giving it a bad score because it is a little over priced. (Which is the exact reason that my b/f states that he would rate it a 2.) - But really, why rate something lower just because the price wasn't the same as a grungy dingy dirty bar that has bad greasy bar food and leaves you sick when you're done? I haven't read the reviews on Ale House or other well known sports bars, but I'm certain that clean and roomy are not in the equation. You get what you pay for. This is not a place you take your kids Saturday afternoon. This is a place where you meet your fellow sports fans to watch your favorite team play on huge televisions in a cool location right near Gulf Stream and you didn't have to go all the way up to Sheridan or down to 163rd street to get there.

This place is huge, with lots of TV's. They even have nice outdoor bar/dining area where you can smoke and still watch whatever is on the TVs. Lots of parking in the back. Lots of restrooms. Maybe we came here on an off night and that's what I am putting our experience down to. First off, the kids menu is super overpriced compared to what I am used to...$7.99 for a kids burger and fries and $2.25 on top of it for a soda. The kids burger was big enough for a man. It was huge and unrealistically just too much for a kid and a total waste of money. The fries were the horrible frozen variety with no taste. We ordered some Jalapeno poppers for the table and they were uneventful. I myself ordered a beef sandwich au jus and it was woeful. It was deli slices of meat like what you would buy in Publix, slapped on a pale hoagie roll with some melted slices of provolone. Tasteless. The au jus was salty and that's all I could taste. My eldest son had pasta, alone. And hubby had pasta with bolognaise sauce. All the pasta was swimming in oil as was the bolognaise sauce. The sauce itself was nice and spicy once you got past the greasiness. Fair enough they had buckets of beer, Presidente 5 for $10. The server was great, kept checking back with us. I didn't see any real deals for happy hour and the place was pretty quiet at about 7p.m. on a Thursday night. Maybe its a good place to go with a gang of sports fans to watch a game, but definately not a place I would run back to in a hurry. The dog ate well that night.

This place is great, but what is better are the drink specials. My husband and I have been going here for about 5 years and enjoy our visits. The reason for 5 stars is because the food is great!!! The staff is good! The best bartenders are Sofie or Brie. A reason to keep coming back is karaoke nights on Friday( is the best karaoke around.!)

They don't have corkage. i took my own wine of 150$, i told the server if i could taste my wine and she said yes. after she open the wine she tells me that i cant drink it cause i was only allowed to have there own wine from their menu. So i order a wine from the menu, but my intention was to have my own wine, and then she told me again that i couldn't do that because they didn't had a license for that. You don't need a license for that!!!! THey have a good NY STRIP

What a margarita pizza! I always ask them to replace the tomato sauce for a little olive oil, which they happily do. I posted a picture here on yelp. 2 for 1 on all pizza if it's takeout. So two of these large pizzas for around $20 -- great deal!

Never really had much of a problem with this place. Food is fresh and the foccacia bread put out tastes great. Having an Australian waitress is pretty cool too. I've been here a few times and I never had a problem. If you want to watch a game, this is one of the best places to go.

I love the layout of the place. It's always clean and there's plenty of room. The food is okay and service is pretty good. The servers take their time, but I guess that's just the atmosphere of the place. Their fries are really good. They have a lot of tvs, so everybody's happy.

Been here a few times. I've only had their woodstove fire pizza which is some of the best around. The service is great from the minute you walk in the door. They greet you with a friendly welcome and try to seat you right away. It's a sports bar so during any Miami pro or college game you're sure to find fellow fans. They have quite a few big projector screens with a lot of tvs, so your sure to find a game of your liking on as well. The outdoor patio is nice too. They have weekly specials and happy hour deals so that's always a good thing. I've only had their pizza so I can't comment on the dinner or sandwiches but it's a sports bar so I'm sure the food isn't that bad. Never had a bad experience here so 4 stars for me for the awesome pizza and service alone.

The service never fails from the time you walk on the door. Went last night and the bartender offered and brought over a stool for friend that was standing. Very nice gesture. The crowd is always very diverse - young, old and in between. Drinks are reasonably priced. They've got tons of tvs and a few pool tables. Like the fact that they've also have an outside bar and sitting area. Supposedly they had karoke last night. But we stayed inside and weren't able to hear the singing outside. Love that. Its really a great neighboorhood sports bar. I gave this a 4star, only because the food isn't fantastic. Everything else is great.

My girl and I decided to try somewhere new tonight. Upper Deck was just around the corner from our place with an Ale House kinda look to it, so we checked it out. Walking into the place you notice the ample space, nice interior and plethora of flat screen TV's. The hostess was friendly, showing us to our seat immediately. At that point everything was off to a good start. Then our waitress came. She was an average looking girl relying on her boobs and tight shirt for tips because with the service we got, there's no other way she could make money. It wasn't so much that the service was mediocre (AT BEST), but the apathy added a cherry on top of the whole experience. She could not get away from us fast enough. It felt like we were interrupting her chats with the bussers by the bar. We let her know we had never been to this place (which was code for tell us what's good) and she just stared blankly. We missed happy hour, so we asked what the specials for the night were. Her response "umm.. nothing really." After she left I checked the menu which listed one (only ONE) drink special until their next happy hour. For a sports bar that's beyond lame. The fact she didn't know her own menu was even worse. We settled on the Chicken Nachos with nothing else catching our eye and the prices in general being more than you would expect from a place like that (wanna add chicken to a salad... 7 bucks). I ordered a Jack & Coke (the ONE special) hoping that at least the drinks would be good. When the nachos arrived they looked awesome which was a relief. We dug in with gusto (we were starving at that point). As my girl bit into one of the loaded chips she grimace, spit it out into a napkin and then poked around the nachos looking for something. It seems the Chicken Nachos also come with beef cubes hidden in the chili. She doesn't eat red meat making this a problem. We asked the waitress (when she finally broke away from the bussers) to switch it out. She returned with a new batch very quickly (which momentarily impressed us), but when putting the plate on the table we saw why. This second batch was beyond a rush job. Barely any cheese (most of it burned on the plate), NO jalapenos, a small handful of chicken and meager toppings. It was a HUGE difference from the awesome nachos we originally got. By that time we gave up caring, ate what we could and got the hell out of there. Shitty & apathetic service, coupled with overpriced bar food and a kitchen that doesn't care makes this a place to avoid. They must get a majority of their business from tourists because I would never become a regular there.

Went here for early lunch on a Sunday with a group of 10. Ok, I understand that's a big group, but the service was greatly lacking. I felt bad for the server, she seemed new, inexperienced and no one else came to help her out despite the place being nearly empty. She couldn't answer questions about some of the menu items and when she went to ask, apparently whoever was running the kitchen didn't know either. After taking orders, she came back out to tell us all the things that they were out of! Out of? On a weekend? During season? Riiiight. Supposedly owned by a Greek guy, but they were out of pita, so no Gyro. What Greek restaurateur would let that happen? All in all, a weird experience and I probably won't go back.

I always hope to write nice things. So I will start with the positive. The outside bar was remodeled and the large tiki hut vibe is much nicer than the place had previously. Soooo, the kitchen wasn't upgraded. Food, surprisingly bad. A bar could get away with bad bar food if they were in nowheresville. But this bar is near plenty of nice restaurants and bars. This makes there menu and how it's made seem even worse. From their French dip that seemed dry until dipped in the water au jus, to the fish dip that we had to spend 5 minutes opening all the cracker packets so we could eat. To be fair, some people like the process of opening the crackers. The drinks were... Well we got drinks that were strange. It's was clear after a couple sips of the dirty martini that the bartender had grabbed a chocolate flavored vodka!? The mistake was so ridiculous it was at least worth a laugh. I'm not saying don't go though. It's not a bad place to watch football.

Very disappointing. Service was good. That's the one star, but the food was terrible. I asked for blackened tuna, got grilled tuna. Asked for It medium, got it rare. Sent it back. Still grilled, cooked a little more, but not medium. The veges were soggy and the Mango salsa had no flavor. I was treated to lunch by a friend who raved about it, and in the end , even she did not take home her leftovers. I do not recommend this restaurant, and I'm normally not critical of food that's cooked for me, served to me and then someone else does the dishes. I actually added the Yelp app just so I could post this.

Great place to watch the games especially on their outdoor patio, over 50 tvs outside and a huge island bar. Food is decent.

Went Friday night and had a great time singing Karaoke with "Fun Time Karaoke" Would have liked to sing more but they were very busy. Patrons of all ages from 18 - 70's. The Bartenders and staff were extremely friendly and that feeling was all around. Never looked over my shoulder once and that is saying something in a Bar/Grill of this size. My friend ordered French Onion soup and told me it was great, I also peeked at a plate of oysters, looked awesome. Big screen TVs all over, a very large dining room and an outdoor bar with TVs as well. This is the way it's supposed to be.

It's been a while so I thought it would be a good idea to update my review of Upper Deck. Still fantastic quality and service and a nice variety of craft beers doesn't hurt either! The recently renovated the deck. The configuration is much better and seems much larger. Upper Deck still gets an A+ in my book. Keep up the great work!

What a difference! Upper Deck has been reinvigorated with a massive overhaul! The tiki bar has been renovated and extended with a fantastic fan system (see what I did there) that creates a cool breeze throughout the outdoor bar area. The TVs have been upgraded to HD flat screens, and there are so many TVs spread out through out, that everyone can watch the game or sporting event of their choice. There are plenty of seats and plenty of space, with a full competent staff of great people with friendly and helpful personalities. It had been over 3 years since we had been to Upper Deck, and we had been regulars back then. We always liked the outdoor tiki bar, and the food was edible, but I have to admit it wasn't the best. The staff back then were okay, but if our favorite server was off, we didn't get the best service. Yet, we kept coming back because we liked sitting outside and being able to catch a game on while having a few chilly ones. We only stopped coming because of health issues. Flash forward to Saturday night, and we walked in and couldn't believe the place. They just finished the renovations in the last couple weeks, so we weren't really prepared for the change. It was just a completely different vibe. Our bartender, Juan greeted us as we sat down and went over the specials. We ordered some beer and watched the college games. Juan was so professional, and customer service oriented, just great! Through the course of the evening several other servers came by to check on us. It was a full team effort. Harry the owner even stopped by to introduce himself and also check on us. We watched them do this with every customer in the place. Everyone there seemed to be having a great time and there were a LOT of people. Hubby and I joked that they must have had a seminar or some sort of strategy meeting because the place was not at all like we remembered. The menu was also way more expansive than what we had experienced before. When speaking to Harry, I asked if they had changed the menu and he said they had and was very excited about it. He said they are now really paying attention to what people like and removing stuff people don't and adding new things. They are even going to begin serving stone crab starting next week. We love stone crab, so we will be coming back for that. We decided to come back Sunday so I could watch the Chargers, and try the food. I ordered the Fish Tacos, and Hubby ordered peel and eat Shrimp along with a gyro. All items were really good. I thought the fish was really delicious, but I have to remember to ask them to omit the onions next time...being from San Diego, I just can't do raw onions on fish tacos. I really want to try their pizza too. I saw a few customers eating the pizza and it looked just delicious! So, if you had been to Upper Deck in the past and weren't happy, you may want to try them again I think you will be pleasantly surprised. As far as this review goes, I am giving them 4 stars instead of 5 because of the parking situation. As they have expanded the outdoor seating area, they have generated more business. Now it seems there is less room to park as the place was packed. We were lucky to get a spot when we came, but several spots were taken as they were reserved for valet.

It was pretty chill on a Thursday night, it sucks that there's only two pool table. They have good options on drinks, you can either sit inside or outside. Decent size television for sport events.

Classic American sports bar and food BUT the menu is lacking of signature meals and freshness, everything tastes a bit blunt. From sides to burgers and steaks. Although sometimes the raw oysters are ok. The service is not well and properly trained. But if your going for just a game, a beer and some music is a cool spot. Not my top 5 favorites.

We really had a great Sunday afternoon with great new friends we met on Yelp, which have the same interests as we do, great food, casual dining and most of all NFL football, although we are fans of different teams. Again, theirs won and ours lost, but that did not matter because Upper Deck provides the PERFECT atmosphere on beautiful days outside, dining at the Tiki Bar, which has been completely redone. The outdoor bar is surrounded with comfortable seating, couches and so much room as opposed to some of the crowded sports bars you may go into on Sundays. They put in so many TV's on the outer walls and above the bar, you can't miss anything no matter where you sit. The bar is really large and has seating for plenty, but the outdoor seating around it could be completely full and you don't feel like you are on top of other parties dining there. The service there is great, our waitress, Ana was always there for us all 4 hours we were there. The buckets of beer kept coming and we took our time ordering different dishes to share. She always brought new plates, cleared our table all the time and we just got to relax and enjoy the games. Perfect. Being the beginning of Stone Crab season, we ordered Stone Crabs for $4.00 apiece, average size and served over ice with lemon and great mustard sauce on the side. My friend ordered Oysters for $1.00 apiece , a dozen and they did not skimp on those either. We also split 2 portions of their Shrimp with Old Bay seasoning, very good. My wife had the Seared Tuna Salad, I did try some and they were seriously EXCELLENT, great portion and seasoned as good as anywhere you can get it. Two of us ordered the fish tacos and according to the "fish taco experts", these were the best fish tacos they have tasted, and came with a side of hot peppers. My son, who was with us, ordered a combination of their meaty chicken wings, half BBQ and half Buffalo style. They came out very temperature hot. These were perfectly cooked, meaty and the favor on both of the sauces were addicting. Needless to say we gobbled those up as fast as a bucket of beer. We have been to several sports bars in Broward and Palm Beach county and the food usually is average to pretty good. I must say the food at Upper Deck has much better quality and portions were bigger and the flavors were much better. Five Stars for all aspects of this establishment. The atmosphere is relaxing, not crowded in, plenty of TV's. The service is impeccable and the food is as good as it gets. One more thing I noticed is that the cliental here is really fun, as you walk by people and they all enjoy being there and are friendly no matter which team they are there to watch. I always feel that part of the atmosphere is influenced by the kind of cliental that they attract. We had a great time today, and the company was the best. Thanks to Yelp for giving everyone the opportunity to make new friends and enjoy places like the Upper Deck.

Great place to hang out with friends and watch sports. They have TVs everywhere making it comfortable for everyone to enjoy a game. The decor and ambiance is very nice. The food is good, the menus is diverse, the desserts are yummy (try the peanut butter mousse, it is a sin!). My favorite dishes are the Baja Tacos, the ribs (love their mashed potatoes, so creamy) and their salads. Its also a great place for a drink at night with friends as they have a full bar and hookah (if you are into this). As a matter of fact it is a great place at any time of the day!

I don't know why people wrote a bed review for this place. Of course is not a fine dining restaurant than you can't find really fine food. It is a good place for humberger and beer as at every others American pubs I come here once a week just for joined the TikiBar on the patio e couple of drink. Good atmosphere and nice music.

Huge outdoor deck bar with TVs showing everything that's on live! The bar service is great and the food is pretty good too! Fantastic atmosphere! If you're looking for a place to chill, watch sports, eat and drink when in Hallandale, this is the place to come!

I will make this quick. Good was awful.I ordered the ribs and chicken. Ribs were burnt the chicken was a chicken filet ,not whole chicken that I expected, that was not basted in sauce as the menu indicated but maybe from another dish they saved that was coated in some sort of spices. The waitress was nice but was wearing some sort of perfume that was less than appetizing. Tv for allstar game was good, but it's a sports bar. Attitude at the bar sucked. I ordered a Cuba Libre, one of the easiest drinks to make. She says I don't know all the drink names, what is it, A rum and coke with a lime, she says why didn't you just order that, thanks for the ordering tip.

Great service, but damn came in with two friends and spent 20 minutes there at outside bar.... Why so short you ask? We all left with about 10 mosquito bites each!!!! If this is a common thing (which it is because it was joked about) offer free bug spray!

After renovating the outdoor bar, this place is even better than ever!! I love the food here, a very wide variety, and they are well stocked with different beers, wines, etc. The only negative I have is that sometimes service can be slow. Definitely sit outdoors if you can, it's super nice and there's tons of couches and tvs if you're there to watch a game!!

Total hit or miss depends on those behind the bar. And let's not talk about the food. This is what I do for a living/career and its sad to see. I come here because it's the closes place to my house but i maybe better off stopping by the liquor store and the local market because poor service is no different then no service. I won't post this on Facebook or Twitter because I'm actually embarrassed that I come here!

This was my first time to Upper Deck but it won't be the last. Their outdoor bar area had about 50 huge screens with every kind of sporting event. The service, food and price was great too! Try the wolverine burger, you won't regret it!

They can definitely work on their customer service. Placed a take out order and was told 15-20 minutes. I waited over 40 minutes, two customers' orders after mine, and several inquiries on status of my food later before I got it. Only until I asked for a refund did they "find" my food. Can't knock the chef though, as the wings and onions were amazing, as always!!!! Sad to know service is this poor nowadays, where employees can't even provide a simple apology to a customer or recognize an error.

It's amazing to me how rude some of the employees are. I was asking one of the waitresses a question and her answer was mumbled, like she'd rather be somewhere else doing something. When I asked for clarification she just yelled at me and kept yelling because I didn't understand what she was saying. Seriously? Don't work in a customer service setting if you hate it that much

Went to visit Paola at the outside bar. As I'm sitting there watching everything and anything you want I'm observing the bar because I am a bartender as well. It was amazing to me how the other bartenders have no personality especially the guy behind the bar, he never smiled once. Everyone else was just fooling around and gossiping with the other bartenders and servers. They have no idea how much money they are missing out on not giving the personality and conversation to the guests, it goes a long way and makes your pockets fatter. I would not come here if it wasn't for Paola and Phil.

It took 20 minutes on a slow Wednesday night to get served a beer. The fish tacos were drenched in a tasteless "Baja" cream sauce which I accidentally ruined even more when the bartender gave me cocktail sauce instead of the salsa I asked for. The burger was fine but served with wilted sat-out-too-long-under-heat-lamp fries. Would not return.

Ordered take out from this place: chicken quinoa salad, baja mahi tacos, and the buffalo chicken wrap. Food quality wasnt bad. Everything tasted good. My soft taco shells broke though so it was kinda a sloppy mess. Went to pick it up about 30 mins later and this place is huge. Walked in at around 10.30p and they were playing Meek Mill "Dreams and Nightmares". Talk about turning up on a Saturday at Upperdeck. If you dont know that song search it in YouTube. Its a great workout song! Hahaha The service was mediocre at best. Waiters seemed attentive but werent welcoming at all. Checked the order before leaving and they didnt add a sauce I asked for but no biggie. From what I saw, the bar itself is okay. Nothing about this place invites me to come back and turn up to Meek Mill. ***Updated Just For Harry K. of Upperdeck*** Well thank you for letting me know. However, this is besides the point. Let me break down the service for you: Walked in through the back because it was raining and went up to the outside bar. I didnt know where to pick up the food so I wanted to ask. The bartender just looked and smiled and went right back to what she was doing. She didnt look like she was taking orders. Well, kept looking around and spotted the bar inside. Had 3 different waiters tell me "ill be right with you". The 1st waiter took my card for payment and said "im not even supposed to be working. Im not supposed to be here" GREAT! He gave me my card back. The 3rd guy finally took payment and as I checked the order I noticed a sauce was missing. He was talking to a customer at the other end and I had to raise my voice to get his attention. Thats a no no. If a take out order is still at your bar shouldnt common sense tell you something is up? Well he was sweet, got my sauce and I left. I just felt the service missed the mark by a margin.

Great potential. Awesome set up in the outdoor tiki section. Awful service. Stopped in while on vacation for a quick lunch. Understaffed and our server wasn't even apologetic for the poor service that she provided. Food was mediocre. Management should reevaluate their entire plan of action.

I had a lunch meeting here yesterday and I was actually looking forward to eating here since they have a great open patio and it is close to my office. They had raw oysters on their menu and I was so excited to try. I ordered a dozen with a small side salad. However, the food took forever to come out (about 45 mins) plus the oysters were really huge, poorly cleaned and a few smelled funny. They served them on a bed of ice with only prepackaged cocktail sauce and lemon. I was so disappointed. At least the salad was fresh. I was late going back to work though. Never again.

We used to frequent Upper Deck 2-4Xs a week for drinks and great food. Since the renovation, the staff is entirely different and the FOOD...The quality, taste, presentation for the same menu items are no longer the same. We are so disappointed in all the cutbacks...We had 3 bad meal experiences in a row. It's too bad because we loved going there. We won't be eating there until they get it back together....

This is a local place and as many times as I've been here all the food had always been good. The clincher is now that I've found my favorite bartender that had the perfect blend of personality, looks, AND can make a great drink! Kat in the outside bar is who I come to see now. She does not disappoint. Try her rum runner...Wow. Did I mention the food is good too? I've had the quesadilla, pizza, cheeseburger, salmon, and my favorite...the chicken basil mozzarella cibata.

Came for lunch and football. New deck os VERY nice lots of TV'S and lots of room. Food was OK had the Nachos and a basil chicken sandwich. Chilli was on the bottom which made the nachos soggy and hard ro dip into the guac and sour cream that came on the side. I think I learned im not a fan of basil. Service was good especially considering football was on and it was pretty busy.

I was originally enticed to go to Upper Deck because of the way the name evokes a bad party trick. I have now patronized the the establishment twice, and both times I have had good experiences. For me, the best aspect of of the Upper Deck is the outdoor patio with televisions. The proprietors of the bar obviously thought about creating an atmosphere where people can relax and watch games of their choice. This is enhanced by the fact that they built the bar at the rear of the restaurant so that one is unmolested by the noise that emanates from Hallandale Beach Boulevard. Along with the relaxing ambiance, the food is satisfying. I have now eaten the chicken wings twice, and they have been perfectly cooked both times. There are also a range of sauce options, so the restaurant caters to people with varied tastes. If there is a downside to the establishment, it is the service. I appreciate that the servers allow people to sit unrushed, but I did feel that the staff could have been more attentive and timely. I in no way want to suggest that Upper Deck has bad service, but one might need slight patience when dining here. Overall, this is a great option if you are in search of a sports bar where you can relax and talk with friends.

Omg! Awesome food and service! love it here, outside seating after the beach and great food what else can you all for... OK they have private parking in the back which is very convenient. The inside is like a regular sports bar kind of dark with TVs all over. My favorite is outside seating on a sunny day, they have these fans that keep it nice and cool... All the good I've tried is awesome! I've tried the ahi tuna salad which is the best I've ever had! Greek salad with salmon (grilled or blacken) excellent. Salmon and shrimp to die for.. Baja fish tacos (my new fav)! I've never been disappointed and of you try it out is are you'll fall in love too! Also, free WiFi!

I went for my first time with the intentions of playing a couple pool games. However, I wasn't aware it was karaoke night The manager personally allowed us to play, I had a fantastic time. A couple days passed and I was showing my friend how great of a place it was to play pool. Unfortunately, it was closing in 15 minutes. They allowed us to play past 15 minutes to finish our game. I think they accommodate to customers needs greatly, the atmosphere of everyone is friendly and chill. It's great!

Service here is quick but friendliness of the staff was a little iffy. I throughly enjoyed the food. I had the cranberry chicken salad and it came with an extremely generous portion of chicken. The person I was with had a bacon cheeseburger and you can't go wrong with that!

Your basic South Florida sports bar with great tv's that will be ruined quickly with the amount of people smoking at the outdoor bar. I only went inside once, to use the restroom (which were sub-par). The food wasn't anything to comment good or bad on, however I can guarantee there is no fresh fish. I ordered fish tacos and asked if the grouper could be grilled instead of fried. The server went to the kitchen to ask, and was told no. The menu offered two grilled grouper dishes, however it was impossible to put grilled fish on the soft tacos. So I had the sautéed shrimp tacos.

Yes, it is a sports bar and restaurant, but I only go to eat. The menu is CRAZY! It is one of those restaurants that have everything you can imagine on the menu. Seafood, Burgers, Sandwiches, Salads, Soups, Pasta, Ribs, Steaks, Fajitas, you name it. Reminds me of Greek Family owned restaurants in New York. All the food tastes fresh. Have been twice this trip and had the Fajitas and French Dip. Both were perfect. Service was great. This is a place I could eat at multiple times a week and never get bored. And obviously something for everyone. I recommend this place for sure. Oh, and they serve food late also!

Casual and friendly. Outside Tiki Bar is the place to be. Recently expanded and it certainly looks like it was worth the investment. Great prices on drinks, especially beer buckets. Lots of TV screens to watch the games, or just to hang out. This is one of my regular places.......Unless there is a big game, good background music. About as casual as it gets - come dressed as you like.

Overall good experience! Went with a friend and her toddler for lunch. We sat outside, were quickly acknowledged by our server. She made sure we had a full understanding of what was available. (Score, considering they had so many options it was overwhelming to my starved stomach).. We both decided to go for the Ahi Tuna salad and a bowl of Clam Chowder. Mine came out and I was pumped to try it when.. ready?.. A small hair was floating in between the chopped crackers I had just thrown in there. I was disgusted and chose to pass on it. Wait, don't write them off yet.. I gave them four stars because they blew me away with the seared tuna. So not expected from a bar & grill thats known for drinks and wings. It was off the chain! Service was great, and nice breeze on patio almost made me forget I was in Hallandale. Will be back for that salad. :)

Food is good. I moved away from Hallandale so I only visit a couple times a year now. However the service was always consistent. They are expanding the exterior deck which is a great idea. It's a nice casual alternative to the restaurants inside the Gulfstream village.

The food isn't very good. at least what I tried. This is a sports bar and the wings were terrible. I thought I was taking a bite into cardboard. Not appetizing even in the least. Although I will say the Mozzarella sticks were really good. I'm giving this place 3 stars because it is a nice place. There are TVs everywhere and service was good. Everyone was very nice. They also have 2 pool tables and a nice outside area.

The service was one of a kind. On the evening of Fourth of July after going to a nearby taco place to try to get a quick bite to eat and was told our group was too large and the kitchen wants to close and we can not be served I was less than happy. Upon arrival to upper deck where the outdoor bar was full and the karaoke was ongoing the manager was more than helpful he was outright professional and exceptional. We were a party of 11 with a very hungry small child, the manager brought us inside the restaurant and seated us immediately (although at this time of the night 11:30 pm it is outside bar service only). The waitress was extremely kind and friendly. All the food was made exactly to our request ( burgers cooked right, onion soup with the proper amount of cheese, salad green and crisp) We have visited this restaurant/ bar twice before but I can guarantee you we will become a regular. By the way the waitress and the manager were black and my entire party was Hispanic and their is absolutely NO feeling or behavior of racism. Great job Upper Deck Staff!

The kitchen staff is very friendly and make great food. Service sucks and so does the servers, the servers are negative and have caught them doing certain things they shouldn't with food behind the counter, but the hostess's are sweet and so are the bartenders. Other than that the food is good and is a bit pricy, but affordable. I would only go here on occasions, such as game nights, but gets pretty packed! Make sure to get reservations a week ahead! The outside bars are great to go to when having a long day or hard day, especially during the time they have drink specials. They don't have a crazy drink special like flanigans or a regular bar may have, but it's decent .

Very pricey! Happy hour on a house red is $8.99!!! What??? And a Happy Hour price on a Miller light draft is $3.10. There are way better happy hour places else where. Chili was pretty good but was $6.00.

Worst service ever!!! I live close and I eat here often. However, the service has decline severely. We got service after 15 minutes of sitting at the table. We order some craft beers and the waiter did not know the menu. After that we ordered the usual, wings, and clearly told the waiter 3 times that we wanted them un breaded. After 15 minutes the wings came breaded. What a disappointment!!!!

Tried this place for the first time in several years. I stopped going after an utterly unforgivable experience where they misplaced my credit card, had no idea what to do, and then decided to treat me terribly. But I decided to give it another try. It is not as good as it was two years ago, but is okay. The place is clean and spacious inside. It has a lot of TVs too. They have a nice covered deck and outdoor bar around the side. And they appeared to have free wifi. It's an okay place, but doesn't hold a candle to Flanagan's in terms of food.

  • Megan M.

Upper Deck is two stars shy of "As good as it gets". This place is great for a few reasons: they have karaoke on Friday nights on the patio, tons of TVs, pool tables, nice layout, great prices on drinks (served strong), and my experiences with service have been decent. So why only 3 stars? The food at Upper Deck is mediocre at best. I've tried a few things on the menu like burgers, wings, and pizza. All of it was just ok, and for the price, I was left disappointed. With Flanigan's across the street and Yard House just on the other side at Gulfstream, I would think that Upper Deck would either lower their prices for food (or at least offer promotions like happy hour appetizer specials at the bar), or improve the quality of the food. The value just isn't there, and I end up feeling a little bit robbed when I pay my bill. Head here for drink and karaoke, and maybe split a pizza or order of wings with someone. Anything else may leave you feeling cheated and put a damper on an otherwise good time.

This place is pretty cool and has great beer specials for this area (5 for 12 buckets). Tons of tv's, couple pool tables, and an outdoor sitting area with a seperate bar and more tv's. Service is so-so. Food is ok...but on the pricey side for what it is. Chips and salsa for $8? This place is good to watch games on the tv's and enjoy the inexpensive buckets. Just be sure to eat before you go.

I had been to the joint half a dozen previous times for a cold beer or cocktail, but this was the first time I ate and I was pleasantly surprised! The peel and eat shrimp were huge and delicious. And the menu is significantly larger than you would image. They do brick oven pizzas as well. The steak salad came with what is now my 2nd most favorite balsamic vinaigrette dressing (1st place is Sweet Tomatoes). My companion ordered a rum-runner: FAIL. It was some sort of frothy icy blend.

My review is confined to only the east side outdoor area with the ramp. Billed as a sports bar, it is a couch potato paradise. Every seating spot faces a bank of big screens. If you delight in the sheer adrenalin rush of TV golf reruns, I honestly believe you should go to places like this instead of anywhere else. It is a great place to meet up if you have a reason to do so, but the omnipresent TVs prevent anything but casual conversation. The Friday night Karaoke has not yet been found by the semi-pro circuit, so you get the best and worst in local amateurs. It can be fun to watch and almost fun to listen to. The Upper Deck seems to enjoy a great reputation locally, and I don't mean to detract from that. Heads up, this place has a mixed clientele, so jocks please keep your pickup lines rated PG. Service is exactly what it should be for the drink prices. Most customers and staff are middle-aged people into their own things. It appears to be okay for groups and extended families to bunch tables together. The decor resembles a former Tiki bar, meaning all seating is outdoors. There is a regular enclosed bar, dining area, and pool table inside the main building. Despite being on the boulevard, there is no perceptive street noise. Clean restrooms. Not being from Florida, I drink in bars and eat in restaurants, never having learned to confuse the two. Thus I know nothing about the food and don't review it. While not the cheapest hang-out in town, the Upper Deck is an okay Friday evening once the Karaoke begins. I get the impression from the number of walk-ins who don't stay that the place used to be a singles bar. Parking is far easier than the beach. I'll probably show up again for the Karaoke. (That's Karoke with a capital "K" because it is a proper noun.)

    (2)
  • Stacie B.

This review is simple: 1. Judge the place for what it is, a sports bar. 2. Kick ass wings, I repeat, incredible wings. 3. Somebody mentioned that Flanagan's food was better, they must work for Flanagan's or have been high, because this is great sports bar food. 4. Go for a game and enjoy it for what it is, sit outside, kick back a few beers, act trashy, have fun.

I've summed Upper Deck to be the place of locals & sports (duh). I've lived in this area for a few years now and have only been a handful of times but passed by it millions. First - it's not as grungy as you would think, actually kind of nice once you're inside. Second - parking is kind of sticky, so if you're there to watch a game, get there early. Third - there's an outside bar and seating with fans circulating the humid Miami weather. Fourth - walk up the ramp and you'll find indoor seating as well. Score! Fifth - expect your typical, not-out-of-this-world bar food. Sixth - free wifi, holler. Inside is rather large, very spacious and perfect for sports watching. Whether you choose to sit at the bar or at a table, watching the game won't be an issue. With TVs everywhere and in your face, it becomes clear that this place was made for persons with A.D.D. So close to home, how can I not like this place?

    (3)
  • Maureen A.

ok, so i am updating my review on Upper Deck and added 1 more star because the owner Harry is professional and cares about his business and customers. He contacted me personally to address my previous review about how "i only go here to watch a fight or game cause of all the tv's but they are a rip off on food and drinks and it's not even that great tasting at all"Service is just okay. i still stand by what i said mostly about the service, it needs improvement and hopefully he will address that. the food is decent and the drink specials are decent, not the best in the area but worth going. hopefully the website gets updated because apparently the prices are not current/correct, i did let him know that. there are tons of tv's and it's great for sports and fights and they do have good pizza. parking can sometimes be an issue but we manage.

This place is OK. Nothing really spectacular. The indoor room is a nice size with TVs everywhere. We came to get drinks and play pool. However there were only 2 pool tables and where both occupied our entire stay. I ordered a margarita and it was too sweet for my liking. For an appetizer, I tried their ceviche... No bueno. It lacked flavor and taste like it wasn't fresh. Great place for beer and watching your sports team... that's all

This place should be called The Basement for its terrible service. I stopped in around 1230 last Friday night 7/26/13 for a drink and a bite after visiting a sick relative at the nearby hospital. Needless to say I could have used a drink. There was no hostess at the door...ok, so we seat ourselves. I made eye contact with the bartender and a waitress, then a few minutes go by and I wave her over. She gets menus for us and says she won't be our server, that the bartender will be waiting on our table. So I made eye contact with him and attempt to wave him over, got a nod and he goes back to chatting with the people at the bar. A few minutes go by and frustration begins setting in followed by bewilderment. How can they ignore a table that just say down? I did not see a manager anywhere in the place who could have corrected the situation. Again made eye contact with the bartender and realized he didn't care if we got served or not. If I could give this place 0 stars, that would be my rating for its service. I can't tell you about the food though. The place was practically empty so how can you let a table sit for 10 minutes without even acknowledging us and bringing water? Good luck, next time I'll go to the Tilted Kilt.

Originally we were going to go somewhere else for lunch, but Upper Deck was right across the road and I was hungry!!!! So glad we made that decision...... The peel and eat shrimp looked like little lobsters and the steak salad I got was perfect!!! With all the flat screens this place has it seems to be a great place to watch sporting events!! I will totally be going back there sooner than later!!

I always have a good time / meal here. They have a good beer selection, and on Saturday I noticed a surprisingly large and comprehensive wine list, too. I don't think of Upper Deck as the type of place I'd order a $500 bottle of wine but hey, at least I have the option. The menu is pretty typical - appetizers, sandwiches, salads, seafood, steak etc. It's pretty easy to find something, no matter what kind of mood you're in. I recently tried their buffalo chicken wrap and it was really good. I like that the chicken was diced, not in strips. My husband had a burger with cheddar, bacon and crab meat. I had a bite and agreed it was really good. Also, you can get sweet potato fries with your sandwich - yum. I enjoyed their french dip sandwich on another visit as well. I knew there was an outside seating area, but never bothered to check it out until this past weekend. It's actually really nice! A HUGE bar with about a trillion televisions, and high-top tables. This is the perfect spot to catch any sporting event, and apparently order a bottle of Dom.

I am super confused by the mixed ratings. My girlfriends and I went to the Upper Deck for dinner and were pleasantly surprised. I had the She Crab soup and the Grouper bites and both were delish. My friends had a number of appertizers, a salad and burgers and everyone was saying how good the food was. We sat inside and were away from the roudy folks watching the game outside. The waiter was very nice and we had no complaints with the bar drinks we ordered. I strongly recommend this place!

I've been to Upper Deck a few times and have always had a good experience. The atmosphere is great for watching football and hanging out with friends. There are a million TV's so you have a great view no matter where you sit. The menu consists of typical sports grille food. I've had burgers, chicken strips, wings, and pasta; all we're very good. The only disappointing food item I've had here was the fried cheesecake. Its not really cheesecake at all and even though it tasted pretty good, I wouldn't order it again. The service level could be better and they only have unsweetened tea (boooo). Oh also they have Wifi so feel free to bring your laptop/iPad for Fantasy Football!

Went there on an NFL Sunday. Glad I went to check it out. Like the TV setup and food. Room for improvement with prices of beer pitchers and service. Parking situation wasn't the greatest, but they appear to have made an adjacent lot available if needed.

Karaoke DJ was very disorganized. She kept mentioning how many singers were signed up but the place wasn't terribly busy. Some people would sing 2 or 3 times before I even sang my first song. After 2 hours, she finally brought me up but she announced 3 singers that were due up before me, then made some crazy announcement like she was doing me a favour of bumping me in the rotation since I was new. Some people came in after I sang and then got up right away and sang a second song within half an hour. She never did call me up for another song. Smoking was permitted at the bar. The bar service wasn't great either as they cleared my 3/4 full drink when I went up to to sing. I won't go back.

My co-workers and I went here twice for a happy hour and some food. The Ahi tuna salad and Philly cheese steak sandwich with sweet potato fries were delicious. The first time we were here our waitress was great but the second time we had this russian waitress that neglected us several times throughout our stay and our food took forever to be brought to us. Overall, the ambiance is fun, a great way to get away from hard day at work.

Nice Place, went Sunday nite, Memorial Day Weekend. The Doorman was pleasant, charming the way it should be " Hear that Club / Bar / Lounge Owners " Good atmosphere for watching sports. 30 or 40 Tv's, decent beer selection, and really really good service. The manager walks around and makes sure people in that area actually want the game on that's playing or changed to one of your choice. Jalapeno poppers were good, wings are quite large, I'd rate them 8.5 out of 10. Very clean, has wireless Internet and has a nice outside bar area as well.

I often stop by here for a beer after work. It is a great laid back sports bar with good food. Their wraps are all great and are huge. There are enough TVs to make sure you can watch your game. The people there are always nice and conversation at the bar is never hard to find. They also have an outdoor "tiki" sports bar. You can watch TV with a bucket of beer enjoying a good breeze. Now you see why I stop by after a long day. :-D

I went two years ago with friends and it took forever for the food to arrive. Went last week sat at the bar to watch the baskeball game and same thing happend. It took forever for the food to arrive. The Mahi was grilled nicely, the french fries were piping hot but the cole salw was average. A lot of TVs but the ones at the bar you have to look up and it gets uncomfortable. As a Sports bar-----average

Ok, so im in the Biz and i can be an asshole sometimes i know it. When my boyz come down from brooklyn, they stay in hallandale beach, central located for everything from hard rock to sobe. We always visit The Upper Deck, Good Food, Good strong drinks and a casino around the block with the ponies running. Just what the boyz from brooklyn need.

Lets start with the most important. 4 of us stopped in for a late lunch Saturday January 23, 2010. Two of us had chicken, the other two hamburgers. Within 24 hours the two hamburger eaters (my brother & my best friend) were vomiting violently along with their diarrhea. My friend was forced to go to the emergency room. Out of a sense of responsibility I called the restaurant and spoke with the owner Costas who didn't seem to think his meat could be bad. What are the chances of a coincidence such as this being unrelated to the ground meat is your gamble to take. Aside from the poisonous meat, the appetizers weren't top notch. We had onion rings with batter that lacked any taste, which were accompanied by watery ranch sauce. The mozzarella sticks were good but the marinara sauce was funky. The two chicken wraps were decent but nothing worth ordering again. Server was very nice but very inexperienced - our first pitcher of not cold enough Sam Adams was poured very badly. This was followed by pitcher number two of colder beer but in an overflowing pitcher which caused spillage on our table including someones iphone. No apology followed said spillage. Lastly the music was so godawful we were in a hurry to get the hell out of there. The volume was piercing and some songs we heard twice in the hour we were there. All in all, we should have hit the Flanigan's a few blocks away and it would have avoided the food poisoning and wasted $91 dollars plus tip.

As sports bars go, this one wasn't bad. The food was pretty good. They had a lot of options that were slightly more gourmet than most places. I tried the nachos which were average, nothing great. I also had steamed clams which were huge. Much better than most places that give you little babies and you eat them in two seconds. The rest of their food looked good but i wouldn't say any of it looked amazing. Other than that, you get your typical sports bar atmosphere. Lots of TVs. There is also an outdoor patio section which i'm assuming is for people who wants to smoke. Other than that, why would you sit outside in the heat. The beer was good, they had a pretty good selection of beer on tap and the place wasn't too crowded or loud when I went. I like this place, I guess my only issue with it is it's right accross the street from Flannigan's and when it comes to cheap sports bar-type food I just really love Flannigans.

I want to love this place so badly, but I just cant! The atmosphere is great. On that alone, I would give it close to 5 stars, but without the food being good, it drops to 2 stars. I stopped going to Upper Deck a few years ago, bc of how inconsistent it was, but decided to give it another shot recently. We ordered the Ceviche appetizer, which in the past was great, but this time was dry and bland. My wife ordered a Sangria, and didnt even finish it(0 for 2), but I was at least excited about the wings. Our bartender told us that they were jumbo wings, and I remember them being huge from in the past. This time, not only did they come out cold, but they were the farthest things from jumbo. As a matter of fact, you would almost have to try and order wings as small as they were(0 for 3). Even the crackers that they served w the ceviche were stale. I write this not just for people thinking about eating here, but also in hopes that the owner/manager reads this and takes the time to get a grip on their food's quality control. Even if you do have a good meal here, it is very doubtful that you will get 2 in a row!

Love the place, love the people, GREAT sports bar, DO NOT EAT THERE! Everything is canned or boxed then reheated and served. 3 times I tried different things and all three the food was very sub par. Great drinks and staff, however!

This is an awesome place to watch NFL FOOTBALL SUNDAY only! So that is what I'm basing my review off of. At one time, I came here for a NBA play off game and you could nearly hear a pin drop in this place. We could've stayed at home for that atmosphere. Anywho, I have been here a few times this Football season on Sundays at about 1pm to watch games. It is ALWAYS packed all day Sunday, and the parking lot is so full that someone is always in the parking lot telling you where to park. With that said, that is exactly the type of environment I'm looking forward to on a game day. Massive, loud, angry/happy, yelling and serious sports fans. When you arrive, the hostess usually asks what game you're looking to see so she can make sure to sit you near a TV with that game. There are a few big screens that are really nice at each end of the room. The main game for the day (not sure how they determine that) is played over the loud speaker of the restaurant so it makes watching the game more exciting. Some Sundays, groups of people reserve sections for their teams. Like this past Sunday, there was a Washington section (sucked for them bc they lost) but the whole section screamed and yelled the entire game and everyone had on jerseys. Although this day is always packed, don't let the parking lot fool you, I have never seen anyone having to wait for seating here on NFL Sunday. The food is really good for game watching. Good burgers, good pizza, great wings. There is also a variety of other stuff on the menu to be had. I recently had the blackened Mahi and it was too salty (too much blackened seasoning I suppose), but its a sports bar, and not a gourmet one so there really wasn't too much to complain about. It was a step above regular bar food (I think Flannigan's food is PUKE WORTHY and I have gotten food from there before and trashed it). If you request it, or if your waitress cares to tell you, there is a round of free focacia bread while you wait which is AWESOME. I always request marinara sauce to dip it in and being the bread lover that I am, I wouldn't mind eating 2 of those with a side salad as a meal! They also have an outdoor/patio area for the smokers and there's a couple of couches there where people lounge and smoke cigars while they watch the game. The crowd here is very mixed, young and old, groups of guys, couples, and families.

Good atmosphere for watching football. 30 or 40 Tv's, decent beer selection, and really good service. The manager walks around and makes sure people in that area actually want the game on thats playing or changed to one of your choice. Jalapeno poppers were good, wings are quite large, I'd rate them 7 out of 10. Clean, has wireless internet to check your fantasy football scores and has a nice outside bar area as well. This is where I'll be watching games on sunday.
